Bothar donation
Thank you very much to all in 6th class who donated €20 each from their confirmation money to Bothar. The money is used to purchase farm animals that will be shipped to needy families in the third world to allow them to begin farming for themselves.

Cumann na mBunscol Winners!
Congratulations to the boys' hurling team who beat Ballinagh in the hurling final in Breffni Park this evening. The match was a draw at full-time, so 10 minutes extra time was added. Darragh Kennedy sent in a terrific goal, which was enough to beat Ballinagh's 2 points. Darragh also won the well-deserved title of "Man of the Match". Well done to all the boys. You've done us proud!

Cumann na mBunscol Finals

The boys' hurling team will also play in the Cumann na mBunscol final in the 3 G pitch, on Wednesday 15th June at 6pm. Their opponents will be Ballinagh NS. The team needs to be at the pitch at 5.15pm.
Best of luck to the two teams . Lots of supporters are needed, so come on down and give them a cheer!

School Tour
Tomorrow is the 6th class tour to the Cavan Centre Ballyjamesduff. Bus will leave school at 9.10am and return around 5.45pm
The lunch will be chicken curry, so if you don't like that, please bring a packed lunch.The following is a list of items to bring:
For outdoor activities
¨ Wear casual clothes, suitable for outdoor activities (not your very best!) and a spare set for changing.
¨ Swimsuit / togs or shorts and a long sleeve old sweatshirt for wearing under wet suit for water sports.
¨ A pair of shoes/old runners to get wet for water sports (in addition to runners being worn for activities).
¨ Towel and shower gel, shampoo etc for showering after activities.
¨ PLASTIC BAGS for taking home wet clothes, dirty runners etc.
¨ Hat and sun cream if weather is hot (a light jacket if its not!)
Visit from Cavan U-21 Captain
We were very fortunate today to have a visit from the Cavan U-21 football captain Gearoid McKiernan. Gearoid came into the classroom and answered all our questions about the big final in Croke Park. He also brought in the Ulster Cup which the team won earlier on in the year.

Best of luck to Finian, Padraig, Anselm and Darragh as they take on Laragh in the Cavan U-14 football final. the match is a replay and will take place in Drumalee GFC this evening at 7.15pm
