ms white,during world war 1, my great granduncle fought for ireland and he was from derry.In 1914,during the outbreak of World War 1,he was trying to escape in an quiet city in derry and when he was not looking,a german soldier was on the derry bridge and he shot my great granguncle dead.The German killed him with a Sniper.So then my great granduncle was assasinated.he fought bravely.his name is on the memorial wall in derry

god,i love the easter rising.it is one of my favourite things in history.but has anyone ever seen Neil Jordan's movies

It's actually my favourite time in history too Thomas. I'd love to be able to go back and see what life was like at that time. By the way, the second song is by Enya, but I don't know the name of the first song.

here are the names of the irish men who fought bravely in the Rising:Padraig Pearse, James Connolly,Thomas Clarke,Thomas McDonagh but there are others aswell,but i dont remember the rest, but in 1922,Michael Collins was assaniated in Beal Na Blath,Co. Cork but Eamonn De Valera died in 1975 aged 92 and i actually saw De Valera's great grandson, Eamonn O Cuiv in Dublin.Eamonn De Valera was born in 1882,and Michael Collins was born in 1890 and he was killed while on his way to his wedding to get married to his fiancee,Kitty Kiernan[1892-1945]Michael Collins died at 31 in Beal Na Blath,Co.Cork
